How it works
Storytime is built around two roles: telling stories and listening to stories. You can do both.
For storytellers
1.Record your story
Speak directly into your microphone, or upload an existing audio recording. A story can be up to 20 minutes long.
2.Trim it
Trim the beginning and end, cut a piece out of the middle, stitch multiple recordings together, or add a sound effect like thunder or applause - all in the browser, before anything is uploaded.
3.Choose a title and main category
Give your story a title, a short description, an optional cover image, and pick 1 main category from a short list, plus up to 4 more specific tags.
4.Publish
Publish right away, or save it as a draft first to finish later. You can still change the title, description, main category, tags and cover after publishing too.
For listeners
1.Find a story
Browse a main category and optionally filter by tag, sort by new/popular/top rated, or search directly by title or storyteller.
2.Listen
A regular audio player with scrubbing, speed control and a sleep timer. Storytime remembers where you left off, so you pick up automatically on your next visit.
3.Comment on a moment
Leave a comment at the exact point in the story where it belongs, shown as a marker on the waveform.
4.Rate, follow and share
Give a rating from 1 to 5 stars, save a story for later, follow your favorite storytellers so you never miss a story, and share a story with a link.
